This week in computers, we are lucky enough to be able to use the lab to explore some cave websites!
Please use our class wikipage listed below to find the sites I want you to visit.
First, go to our class wiki, then find Science Links title on the homepage.
When you click on Science Links, you can find the cave information under Earth Science - since cave formation is part of the Earth!
Explore the different sites, and please enjoy the tour of the Cave of Lascaux. Just be warned that this site does not work well with the back button - you might end up viewing the French language site, since the cave is in France. If you have problems, close the tab, and go back to our wiki and reload...
When you are done, please leave a comment on what you found out or enjoyed looking at and why you enjoyed it. Please note that the information sites on cave formations were made by 11 year olds...
Are you ready to make a page yet??

ReplyDeleteOne thing i learn is that the glacier caves are made of frozen ice! how cool is that.
ReplyDeleteThe cool thing about a sea cave is that i thinck it is conected with the oecan and lookes like a beach.
ReplyDeleteWow that was really cool caves. The Glacier caves are my favorite one. I like it cause it is very big and it has a lot of holes to enter into a different places in the caves. I would like to go into a cave one day and like when I saw thoose big holes in the caves I was thinking to my self " How did thoose cave holes form?" My perdiction is that the waves in the water crashed into the wall and made a hole! I don't know!!! I hope we can " try " to make a cave and make it look like a real cave!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI learned that archaeologist have to go trhough alot of trouble to get to the most amazing caves in the world. They have to go under strong waterfalls and they also have to be carefull with the creatures that live incaves like bats, lizards, and snakes.
ReplyDeleteI loved how the ice caves look from the inside i thought they looked really pretty. I am really enjoying learning about caves
ReplyDeleteSeeing caves like that was awsome my favorite part was looking at the lava caves and I also realy liked looking at the animals
ReplyDeleteSea caves are hard to enter because of high tide and low tide. Some sea caves haven't been found. Sea caves sometimes form with limestone, sandstone, or granite. Sea caves are formed by waves hitting the surface of the rocky shore. This causes the inside to collapse forming tunnels. The cave takes long to form. This is the way most sea caves are formed. You can mainly find them on the coastline.
ReplyDeletethats what I read in a site i think its really cool that sea caves are hard to enter
